Kates introduction to yoga was through dance where she first learned the power of uniting breath and movement to calm stretch and strengthen the body After landing in Chicago years ago Kate continued her exploration of yoga through dance classes and as a training tool for long-distance running before finding a home studio at Bloom where she could focus solely on yoga for its own benefits As an instructor Kates focus is sharing yoga in a challenging safe and non-intimidating way Having completed her teaching certification from Bloom Yoga in June her training has focused on safety adaptability and building strength slowly encouraging students to emphasize the breath and self-acceptance on their journey to improving both their bodies and minds She incorporates all of these aspects into her flow yoga classes offering something for beginners and more experienced students alike.
