Her love to learn through educational modules covers everything from Experiential Anatomy with Judith Lasater to Anxiety and Trauma Training from Brad Hammer. Kathy is in her 10th Year teaching Y12 Yoga created by Nikki Meyers which integrates the alignment of yoga and the steps of recovery program guided by yogic texts trauma research and modern neuroscience. Y 12 Yoga explores combining cognitive and somatic support to connect with deeper levels of healing for anyone struggling with addiction, something near and dear to her heart. She believes Functional Medicine holds the key to quality of life for physical emotional and spiritual development. She completed the 500 Hour Teacher Training Program at Blue Lotus NC with Jill Sockman and Carrington Razook which was a powerful spiritual experience as well as academically challenging Other powerful mentors are Emily Darling Darling Yoga Kansas City where she completed one of her three 200 Hour Training and stays active with Darling Yoga Community in Kansas City on zoom. Other courses have been Collective Resilience Trauma Informed Yoga Basic Training taught by Hala Kouri as well as a five comprehensive modules of facilitator training with Max Stromm Breathe to Heal Method Training which facilitates a revolutionary way to alleviate Anxiety Panic Attacks and Sleep Disorders .A Truth-Teller, Diva-Disputer, Spell-Breaker, and Lady of Light Kathy continues to study yoga and stay teachable and open-hearted while carrying the message of Recovery Unity and Healing.
