About
Kathie White is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance.
Kathie began her wellness career in 1986. She found aerobics, fell in love with it and became an AFAA certified aerobic instructor. As she continued leveling up her teachings, she also became a certified Personal Trainer in the early 90s and part owner of a gym. This is when she realized the importance of alignment and proper form. Several of her clients were able to correct issues they had lived with for years. As her family grew, becoming a Mom of three children, her time for teaching came to a halt. It wasn't until 2015, after her children had grown, that she found yoga. Kathie had closed up another business she owned and operated for 12 years and looked to these practices as a way to help her through some difficult times. It wasn't long into practicing that she realized this is what she now wanted to do. After much research, she decided to participate in a 200 hr. teacher training through one of the most prestigious and comprehensive yoga teacher training schools in the United States, The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute. She studied directly under Beryl Bender Birch, an internationally renowned yoga teacher and author. She then decided to expand her level of education by completing her 300 hr. certification through the same school, giving her the credentials to be a 500 hr. trained yoga teacher. She has since continued her education through additional training in Trauma Yoga Therapy, Yoga Nidra and Functional Alignment. She holds a Reiki II Certification and offers private sessions. She travels once yearly to spend time at Retreat with her teacher and considers that an honor. Kathie is married now to someone she has known since the age of 6. She has three children, three step-children, and five grandchildren! She and her husband Matt also have a dog, named Theo. Life has not been without it's challenges and she takes these teachings into her yoga teachings, showing her students that they are not alone.
