About
I have been a student of yoga since 1997 when I was drawn to the practice to relieve muscle spasm.
Initially I practiced Ashtanga, where I found strength and the fierceness and stamina to survive difficult life events. My practice evolved to Anusara and Alignment where on and off the mat, I softened and matured spiritually, emotionally and physically. Following a serious infection in my knee in 2011 which caused the loss of all cartilage and massive flexion contractures, I underwent a total knee replacement. Through yoga, I regained and surpassed my previous strength and flexibility. This experience and my passion for the difference yoga can make, led me to Amy Ippoliti’s 200 hour Alignment Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in Boulder, CO in July 2014. My Mission as a Yoga Instructor is to provide a framework for empowered, invigorated, strong and confident yoga practitioners through a deep understanding of alignment as we flow in Vinyasa. As you build your yoga practice, you find yourself having more ease and grace to move in the current of life. My fascination with proper alignment has been influenced by my past and current careers as a Physician Assistant and in the pharmaceutical industry in Drug Safety. It doesn't hurt that I have an insatiable curiosity and passion to contribute that which I feel makes a real and lasting difference. I am eternally grateful to my teachers Amy Ippoliti, Desiree Rumbaugh, Elena Brower, Adam Ballinger, Susie Walby and Anna Ourusoff. Now as I teach, my students also become my teachers. I am thrilled to be able to offer and contribute my passion, energy, and knowledge to students in the Bozeman and Livingston area.
