Katy Lehman

Movement, health, awareness, and expression have been a part of my life since I can remember. Teaching others the power of yoga was naturally the next step in my journey. I had the pleasure of studying with Erica Kaufmann at her Lila Yoga Studio. I then traveled to Chennai to continue my training at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram to deepen my practice, explore the beautiful city, and immerse myself in the culture. Since then, I have been able to practice yoga in Australia, Bali, and all across the US. I continue to teach in the Lila Yoga tradition, connecting the body to the breath and taping into the body's subtle creative energies. When I am not teaching yoga, I am an Artist and Art Educator. I currently teach Middle through High School Art. Although they are quite different, the ways that I approach Yoga and Art intertwine. I am in awe of the effect yoga has on the movement of the body and transcendence of the mind. Through vinyasa, pranayama, music, and laughter, I hope to encourage practitioners to explore their strength, fluidity, creativity, and playfulness.
