Kellie Finn is a dedicated student writer teacher artist yogi and entrepreneur who has been studying exploring and living the philosophies of yoga since and teaching since She is the creator of Yoga:LiveIt co-creator of Shri hour YTT and operates Yoga Eastworks Kellie earned her BA in Performance Art from Agnes Scott College and is a Maryland University of Integrative Health graduate with an MS in Yoga Her yoga introduction came in serving as a Summer volunteer at Omega and tremendously deepened as a full-time volunteer/resident at Kripalu Center - In between those residencies she spent years volunteering through Hands on Atlanta a company that plugs folks into various volunteer organizations/opportunities around the city HOA had a huge impact on her vision of community responsibility and the offerings that all people regardless of race/socioeconomic status/age have to extend to each other through communication curiosity and action She also spent those in-between years exploring various yoga traditions including: Kundalini Ashtanga Pattabhi Jois and Iyengar; and post living at Kripalu: Anusara In she graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Masters in Yoga Therapy She currently works as adjunct faculty with the program at NDMU SOIH Kellie teaches weekly classes workshops educational series and YTTs As a yoga therapist she specializes in working : with individuals to employ curiosity acceptance self advocacy and empowerment in order to break patterns of disassociation destructive behavior choices and limited agency perceptions associated with complex trauma She believes that no matter where weve come from or what weve survived we have the ability to weave it into ourselves as an asset of offering Kellie sees yoga not simply as a self-knowledge growth path but as a path of recognition that each of us has a responsibility for integration and enhancement into the world at large If we think of the world as one giant puzzle and each thing in the world as a piece in that puzzle then the tools of yoga are what help us identify the curves colors textures and placement that is our piece The WE is the great art of the world and each of us has a responsibility to be our piece in the artistry of it all Kellie feels grinningly thankful for all the teachers/peers shes studied with both on and off the mat She is committed to the sweetness of being in process and to the art of thriving She is immensely grateful for New England living family friends sunshine good jokes moon gazing night walks ocean breezes lingering hugs fresh vegetables road trips adverbs and an ever growing boot collection.
