About

We are designed to move! We are also designed to recharge in sweet stillness – all of which helps us deeply unwind and find our way back home to ourselves.

In Kim's slow flowing and gentle classes you'll explore the intersections in life through the lens of yoga. She especially loves to guide people in how to use their breath to both energize and soothe the body and mind. Intersections are where potent energies and ideas commingle, leading to growth and expansion, deep interconnection and the mending of all parts of your Self. She looks forward to meeting you on one of these paths. Kim is a certified yoga instructor with two decades of teaching experience. She’s been told that her classes feel like a warm hug of encouragement. Each practice is grounded in compassion, cheekiness and the wisdom of her teachers and her own personal experiences. Drawing from alignment informed yoga, buddhist mindfulness, tantric philosophy, and meditation, Kim’s classes are always geared towards a practice that supports longevity. She believes in offering a practice that meets you where you are, so that ALL bodies feel safe and supported. She’s guided thousands of people to explore refuge in practice and learn about the tools that help us create resilience, harmony, and more meaningful lives through group classes and yoga teacher training programs. She’s also had the pleasure to lead practices in a wide variety of spaces outside of yoga studios like CNN, Turner Entertainment Network’s campus, Dirty South Yoga Fest, Chantlanta, art galleries, chiropractic clinics, senior assisted living centers, and the homes of private clients. When she's not teaching or practicing, she's a creative professional art directing children in photoshoots for Carter's and she is always trying to make time to explore life through painting, drawing and traveling. Her classes offer: - guidance in mindfulness - how to harness the power of the yogic breath and meditation - how to refine your postural alignment - fun and approachable sequencing with the goal of being inclusive to all bodies - deep relaxation - self-massage techniques you can practice on and off the yoga mat Trainings/Experience: 2004: graduated from my first 200-hour classical yoga teacher training at Kashi Atlanta 2007: Began co-leading 200-hour teacher training at Kashi Atlanta 2011: Completed Anusara Yoga’s 100-hour immersion with Gina Minyard 2012: Completed part one of the Anusara 200-hour teacher training with Christina Sell 2015: 300-hour yoga teacher training
