About

Kristin believes that yoga is a practice, a journey, and that one should practice grace and compassion with one's self on that journey.

Kristin, a former avid runner, discovered her passion for yoga when she moved to Mexico City in 2003 and was unable to run due to asthma. She soon found that she could find the same peaceful tranquility after a challenging yoga practice she previously found from a long outdoor run.   Kristin studied Iyengar yoga while in Mexico, drawn to the alignment focus of the Iygengar practice.  She then moved to New York City where she was introduced to Ashtanga yoga and quickly mastered the primary series, enjoying the challenging and athletic classes. Kristin’s next journey took her to Scottsdale, AZ, where she discovered Anusara yoga and completed the first part of Anursara yoga teacher training.  She also began incorporating Vinyasa flow into her practice, drawn to the creativity of dynamic flows and the focus created by linking breath with movement. Kristin completed her 200-hour certification with Faith Hunter after moving to DC in 2008 and began teaching in 2009. In 2015 Kristin took a six week journey to India to complete her 500-hour advanced certification studying Ashtanga and Hatha yoga in Rishikesh beside the Ganges River.  Kristin has been living in Miami, FL since 2012 and offers dynamic challenging Vinyasa classes integrating focus on alignment and intention.
