About
Kristine is passionate about sharing the wellness benefits of yoga with people of all ages and physical abilities.
Interested in philosophy and meditation since her teens, she procrastinated trying yoga for years, convinced she was inflexible, uncoordinated, and weight-conscious. In 2011, during an episode of depression, Kristine attended her first class. Yoga demands such focus that those burdensome thoughts quickly faded. Kristine has never forgotten the sense of peace and vitality that prompted her ongoing holistic healing of physical and emotional issues through yoga. Longing for the integration of mind-body-spirit missing from her medical school and psychiatric training, Kristine completed the 200-hour Teacher Training at High Desert Yoga. She holds certificates of completion in Restorative, Prenatal, and Senior Yoga. She is pursuing a 300-hour Teacher Training through YogaU Online’s Yoga Wellness Educator program. To empower students on their own journeys of transformation toward wellness, Kristine’s classes combine compassion, breath awareness, knowledge of anatomy, and a focus on alignment. In private sessions, she merges this perspective with therapeutic elements of her MD training. Kristine seeks to share the powerful gift of being fully present in the moment.
