Kurt (Sadasiva) Schroeder, E-RYT500 [email protected] Sadasiva was introduced to yoga in 1996 and shortly thereafter began his yoga career, first as a karma yogi at the San Francisco Integral Yoga Institute (SF IYI).
Since then he has enjoyed a continuous dedicated practice including instruction and training to other like minded individuals seeking inner peace, optimal health and a deeper understanding of the great mystery of present existence. Sadasiva has taught Hatha yoga in a number of settings and at various levels, mainly at the SF IYI (starting in 2003) and at the Mission Neighborhood Health Center (starting in 2001) where he taught classes in Spanish to clients and staff of an HIV clinic specializing in comprehensive medial care for the Latino population. In 2007, Sadasiva began assisting the basic and intermediate level teacher trainings at the SF IYI. In 2009, he took on the role of main teacher and has since led a total of seven 200 hour basic teacher trainings. He has also co-taught two intermediate level teacher trainings. Sadasiva is involved in yoga retreats and workshops where he teaches classes and gives talks on spiritual and technical aspects of yoga. He was a resident and member of the board of directors for two years at the SF IYI. Sadasiva’s training continued at the SF IYI where he successfully completed: Basic Teacher Training in 2003 (200 hours) Intermediate Teacher Training in 2006 (145 hours) Advanced Teacher Training in 2010 (125 hours) Raja Teacher Training in 2011 (90 hours) Sadasiva has also attended numerous teachers’ conferences sponsored by the SF IYI and led by notables in the field including Swami Asokananda, Swami Ramananda, Swami Karunananda, Sri Amrita McClanahan, Nischala Devi, Madhuri Flynn and Kristie Dahlia Home.
