About

Your system intrinsically knows what it needs to be well.

When presented with the right tools and the right environment, our minds and bodies heal themselves, guiding us toward whole and flourishing lives. My approach is to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for this healing – offering tools for exploring life’s depths and establishing deeper connections with what is true. I seek to become a companion with others in gently cultivating courage, compassion, and curiosity for both individual and collective liberation. I am an interdisciplinary developmentalist who weaves ancient practices with modern science to partner with others in actualizing their fullest potential. For over a decade, I have cultivated environments of compassion, curiosity, and courage by utilizing research-backed connection and creative problem-solving methods for the multidimensional development of individuals, teams, and communities. I am an expert in human development, compassion, mindfulness, leadership, and justice-centered pedagogy. I have been practicing yoga asana for 12 years, teaching mindfulness and meditation for over a decade, and studying Eastern and Western spiritual philosophy for 15 years. I hold an E-RYT500 alongside several YACEP certifications. I teach in my local community weekly and have been a core trainer of over 75 teachers for several yoga teacher training programs. Beyond yoga, my career has been dedicated to partnering with individuals, organizations, and groups on their journeys toward embodied wholeness. As a professor, development practitioner, and Ph.D. candidate, I study spiritual and moral development modalities, the interconnectedness of the human and beyond-human world, and the expansion of consciousness. My drive is cultivating internal and external spaces of compassion, curiosity, and courage. It is impossible not to be informed by my experiences as a teacher in an underserved elementary school, an organizational consultant, a program developer and evaluator, a theology and philosophy professor, an Assistant Dean of Students in higher education institutions, a pastor in a congregation serving 10,000 people, and professor of human development and mental health counseling. Academically, my degrees in philosophy, theology, non-profit organizations, and education provide a lens that shapes my research and practice.
