I completed my yoga teacher training at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2025.
My training was based on the yoga theory and asana practices of B.K.S. Iyengar, and my instructors were Level 1, 2, and 3 Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers. Iyengar yoga is considered the yoga for all ages as it incorporates props to help aid the student in getting into the poses while maintaining proper skeletal alignment. This helps to minimize the risk of injuries while maximizing the therapeutic benefits of asana practice. I continue training at Scottsdale Community College to solidify my learning and practice of the more advanced yoga poses so I can include these in my instruction. I am currently looking for an opportunity to teach alignment-based Hatha yoga using props and based in Iyengar theory and practice.
