About
Yoga is my inspiration and my joy.
During my yoga practice I strive to strengthen our precious bodies from the inside out through meditative breathing techniques to align the nervous system first. During my restorative yoga sessions I rely on the use of props (i.e. blocks, bolsters, straps, chairs, and the wall) which are necessary to align our bodies and restore the natural flow of our breath, thus improving our cardiovascular and neurological functions. I specialize on the reduction of depression, stress, and anxiety. I provide customized sessions to female students to help them cope with major life changes, such as puberty, pregnancy, and menopause. Furthermore, I thoroughly enjoy practicing yoga with Veterans and help them re-discover some harmony with themselves using meditation, and also using energetic “power vyniasa yoga” flow of poses. I have studied ballet for ten years, which has helped me embrace Yoga naturally, but learning how to prioritize the use of my breath has given me new strength and motivation to become a Yoga Instructor. I shared my enthusiasm to teach through my own Yoga studio in Panama City Beach, Florida and had the pleasure of working with a diverse population of students; currently I continue teaching in two yoga studios in the VA and DC areas, and I am also studying in my Yoga Masters’ degree at the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Whether in a group setting or during a private session, I strive to clarify that physical fitness and overall well-being are the product of breath control combined with balanced nutrition. Yoga is not about how it looks like, instead it is about what it feels like: it is a never ending research within ourselves that starts training the mind, which is the most difficult muscle to connect to, to explore, and to renew .
