Laura Coen

She completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training with Tricia Fiske, at Prairie Yoga in Lisle, Illinois in December 2017, and her 95 Hour Children's Teacher Training with Mira Binzen of Global Family Yoga in June 2017. Laura is also a certified Les Mills BodyPump Instructor. Laura believes that individuals can experience a mindful connection to themselves and the world through yoga practice. With a mindful connection to self, both adults and children can feel better, have more self-control, self-awareness and a better relationship with themselves. A strong sense of self allows for more stable interactions with others. If individuals are not looking to others to stabilize them, define them or bring them the emotional responses that they need (i.e. happiness), interactions with others will be more compassionate, genuine and considerate. Laura hopes to help yoga students find stability in themselves, and therefore become more productive, healthy and helpful parts of their community.
