About
Laura Mary Flynn was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Wellesley, MA.
She attended college in upstate New York and graduate school in Hawaii, where she received a Master of Public Health degree. As a collegiate soccer and lacrosse player, Laura Mary was initially drawn to yoga for its physicality. Though the intensity and challenge attracted her to the practice, the spirituality made her fall in love with it. It was the gateway she needed to discover a whole new world of peace and living, a world that has changed her life forever. Laura Mary brings her knowledge of anatomy, athleticism, energy and love for the practice to each class. Come prepared to sweat, smile, laugh, and leave feeling a whole lot better. Laura Mary’s mission statement is “To empower and inspire you to realize your potential to elevate the world”. She leads her own 200-Hour yoga teaching training at Power Yoga Hawaii. She hosts yoga and goals retreats all over Hawaii. Her next retreat is May 26-31, 2017 on the Big Island of Hawaii. Laura Mary is a writer and the editor in chief of Laura Mary Healthy Living, a newsletter dedicated to all things yoga lifestyle related. Laura Mary has completed a goals training program, and feels inspired by the act of goal and intention setting. She loves starting each morning off with an intention and some quiet time. Her favorite postures are adho mukha vrksasana (handstand) and viparita karani (legs up the wall).
