Laura Spriggs Thompson E-RYT YACEP yogini mother wife aerialist-wannabe health and wellness promotor and lover of life has been a dedicated practitioner of yoga since and teacher since She quickly fell in love with the practice of yoga as she found it physically challenging fun and spiritually uplifting It helped her stay centered amid many challenges including the illness and loss of her first husband to cancer Coming from a place of not always making the healthiest life choices in her late teens and early twenties it was the start of a journey to deeper self-care and self-love that continues to evolve today Laura shares yoga to help empower her students to find their own strength inner and outer balance on and off the mat flexibility of body and mind and connection to their inner radiance and the sacredness of life She offers classes that are a pulsation of flow and alignment as well as classes that are more restorative in nature to help reduce stress Alignment yoga philosophy and yogic practices are skillfully woven into her classes with creative and progressive sequencing to playfully and intelligently work toward more challenging poses while honoring each students boundaries in a safe environment Laura was certified in Anusara Yoga one of the most rigorous certification programs in and while she is no longer affiliated with that school she still draws inspiration from those practices as well as from a variety of sources Laura offers a deep bow of gratitude to all her teachers and all the lineages of those that have led the way Forever a student she continues to draw inspiration from many teachers especially Sianna Sherman for yoga and Cate Stillman for Ayurveda Laura is passionate about bringing the ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda into embodied living practices for deep self-care ease energy and inner and outer wellbeing in her life and her teachings Laura remarried and lives in Indianapolis with her husband Niels two daughters Annabella and Hazel and big fluffy Great Pyrenees Luna She enjoys spending time with family experimenting with healthy meals traveling hiking fair weather trail running and aerial silks.
