About

Laurel completed her 200 hour certification in 2013 and 300 hour certification in 2020.

Both certifications were with Healing Movement Yoga Teacher Training with her mentor, Lorijean Gentzlinger. Prior to becoming a yoga teacher, Laurel received her Reiki Master certification from Kathie Lipinski in 2011 and completed her Health Coach Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2012. Laurel is a lifetime learner, always looking to learn, grow and share. She is certified in Usui, Karuna and Jikiden reiki and has studied various forms of yoga including KundaliniYoga, Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Thai Yoga. She has taken additional trainings in anatomy and yoga philosophy as well. Laurel’s yoga classes are inspired by many styles and influences from her 20+ years of practice and training. Her specialty is slow flow vinyasa - a slowed down vinyasa practice focused on being in your body with alignment, building strength and finding balance (physically and mentally). She also loves teaching yin and restorative yoga with reiki. Her classes focus on mindfulness, alignment, breath, self compassion and body awareness. Laurel believes that whatever the reason is for your yoga practice, “the yoga gets in” and will truly change your life - if you allow it.
