Lauren Griffin is a boy mom a DMV-native turned East Carolina University alumna and a professional firefighter/paramedic in the eastern NC area She has a diverse athletic background and has practiced yoga for many years before obtaining her RYT- and SUPY Teaching Certifications through Longwave Yoga Wilmington NC joining the lineages of Mary Glackmeyer Logan Wagenseller and Jessie Greenwell Currently she is immersed in AYT- studies through Longwave Yoga with Logan Wagenseller and Jessie Greenwell Lauren has taught yoga in studios parks firehouse truck bays waterways backyards and through digital screens since She teaches various Vinyasa styles incorporating elements from Iyengar Ayurveda Acro Power Bhakti and Jivamukti at various levels Beginner through Advanced and temperatures as well as other styles like Yin Restorative SUP Yoga and Yoga Nidra She has also taught special populations such as: Mommy & Me Teens first responders in academy and frontline settings and corporate settings and for various special events like holidays community fundraisers park events and more She really enjoys developing and hosting workshops as well; some of her favorites she has created focused on Inversions Ayurveda Yoga Foundations for Beginners Yoga with Props LISS Yoga as well as Breathwork and Yoga for First Responder and Military Professionals In a typical class with Lauren you will be guided by her direct yet upbeat teaching style into challenging sequences that will inspire proprioception alignment and control of your breath mind and body Each week she will use a new topic of motivation that will anchor your exploration of a focused body system or a peak sequence In every class Lauren will offer support for every body and experience level through use of props movement modification options and teacher assists Laurens goal is for her students to leave each class having learned something new but most importantly feeling strong and blissful!.
