Lauren Plennert is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and welcomes every body, regardless of age or ability, to her classes at local studios, community classes, etc.
She is a true believer in the benefits of yoga, meditation, and pranayama for the whole person – mind, body, and spirit, and is especially passionate about sharing mindfulness and yoga with kids. Lauren discovered yoga over a decade ago and immediately loved it as it helped calm and soothe her over-active and anxious mind. Since then, Lauren has practiced yoga throughout three pregnancies, developed a personal meditation, yoga nidra, and pranayama practice during a very severe back injury resulting in almost a year of physical therapy, and has discovered a passion for sharing yoga and mindfulness with children. Prior to becoming a RYT, Lauren had spent the past 15+ years as a CPA and internal auditor. In her spare time, she stays busy with her husband and three kids, helps take care of her mom who suffers from dementia, volunteers with her kids schools and around the community, and enjoys time with friends and family, home projects, time in nature, and a good spreadsheet.
