Leanora Lea is an experienced yoga teacher and outdoor team-building facilitator uniting mindfulness practices + experiential learning principles to nurture hearts & strengthen communities  Her teaching journey began in May as an Outward Bound Instructor with Baltimore & Philadelphia Urban Centers While college life rallied around social justice and Outward Bound wilderness expeditions had her on the go Yoga was the movement that brought peace to her busy mind and anxious heart In September Leanora began her hr Yoga Teacher certification through Yama Studio in Baltimore MD empowering her to adapt yoga techniques to meet the needs of each individual Leanoras yoga journey continues through regular personal practice and yearly trainings Ayurvedic Yoga Yoga for Arthritis YoKids…Stretch Your Limits Acro Yoga Prana Flow Vinyasa are just some of the additional trainings that influence her adaptive teaching style She enjoys working with a diverse spectrum of students with a particular focus on mental wellness for the residents of The Retreat @ Sheppard Pratt Health System  Other communities include corporate yoga classes at Johns Hopkins and Kennedy Krieger church congregations the Baltimore Yoga Village community and the women and juvenile detainees of the Baltimore City & Chesapeake Detention Centers Leanoras enthusiasm for integrating  community wellness experiential education & outdoor adventure was inspired by her BA in Urban Studies from Eastern University She has also earned an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree and continues to explore nature through occasional Outward Bound facilitating and personal outdoor adventures.
