About

Leslie Snow, with a diverse background in movement and personal training, realized she could help people most effectively through one-on-one customized programs that focus on yoga as the mode of physical and mental training.Leslie was a serious ballet student growing up, but occasional depression interfered with hoped-for success.

At 18, she survived a near-fatal car accident, requiring a long convalescence. After the accident, to help recover, she began meditating, and from there arrived at her first yoga class in 1978. She practiced more often and more seriously as the years passed, mixing in dance, aerobics, and running -- Leslie felt happiest when she was moving. After more than 15 years as a graphic designer in Jacksonville, Florida, she became a personal fitness trainer soon after relocating to North Carolina. Wanting to learn more about yoga, in 2013 Leslie traveled to Rishikesh, India for 200 hours of Ashtanga yoga teacher training. In 2012, Leslie pursued post-baccalaureate studies in Exercise Physiology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, taking classes and labs in exercise physiology, testing, and program design.Several days a week, Leslie studies martial arts. She achieved ni dansecond black, in October 2016. Leslie is currently preparing for her black belt test.Leslie completed her yoga studies (300 hours) with Shari Goldstein of Enlighten Yoga Charlotte in August 2016, studying with such luminaries Kino MacGregor, Doug Keller, Desiree Rumbaugh, Greg Nardi, and John Churchhill. Leslie, with over 1700 hours of teaching, is a Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT 200, and RYT 500, as well as a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider (YACEP).
