About

I made a solemn vow during a yoga class on Jan 1, 2011 that I would open a yoga studio that year.

After a divorce, layoff from a well-paying corporate job, and the tragic loss of my beloved dog, Pebbles, in 2009 I was finishing a Bachelor’s of Business at the University of Central OK. I had rediscovered long distance running after many years of inactivity and, in turn, discovered triathlons looking to meet like minded people. All of that swimming, biking, and running brought me to yoga. A yoga class at the YMCA changed my life. I knew I would always practice yoga after the first class. By chance, after one of those sweaty sessions, I was chatting with the instructor and another student. The other student said, “You should become a teacher!” I went home that night and knew that something about that resonated. I had been asking myself what I wanted to do everyday as I built a new life and the answer was always; do yoga, run, bike, be healthy. So, my business mind went into action. In May of 2011 I graduated on a Saturday, ran a marathon that Sunday, and officially opened Fusion the next Monday. I’ve never looked back, but myself and Fusion have certainly evolved over the years. I teach yoga to share the healing power of turning inward, letting go of what no longer serves, and transforming into the best version of ourselves. In my classes you’ll always hear the words of Beth Shaw, creator of YogaFit, “Let go of competition, judgement, and expectations.” My passion is to share the therapeutic qualities of practicing yoga. I want to share how yoga can be a tool to heal wounds of the mind, body, and spirit. I want everyone to experience, for themselves, how I went from the lowest place in my life to a place of wholeness.
