About
Lisa is a 500-hour registered yoga teacher certified through YogaWorks, and also holds a 100-hour Adaptive & Restorative Yoga certification.
As both a teacher and practitioner, Lisa approaches her classes with curiosity, playfulness, and specificity. A theater major, Lisa was first introduced to Yoga at Brooklyn College as part of her training in the BFA acting program. She quickly became drawn to how the practice helped her cultivate patience, combat self-judgment, and become more present in her every day life. After practicing yoga for almost ten years, she completed her 200-hour teaching training certification at YogaWorks with Chrissy Carter and Paula Lynch Liberis in 2013, her 100-hour Adaptive & Restorative Yoga teacher training with Jillian Pransky in 2016, and then went on to earn her 500-hour certification at YogaWorks with Jodie Rufty and Jenny Aurthur in 2018. Lisa joined the YogaWorks teacher training staff in 2019. Lisa teaches public and private classes in Brooklyn and Manhattan to children and adults. www.ljayoga.com
