Lisa has had a passion for movement health and wellness for as long as she can remember Throughout all her professional adventures mind/body health has remained a vital touchstone Beginning her career in the corporate arena in Marketing and Strategic planning   She taught fitness classes and became a personal trainer in her “free” time  She first came to Yoga from a physical approach and she fell in love with the way it made her and her students feel—physically emotionally and energetically She was compelled to dig deeper into studies expanding her practice and teaching to all of the limbs of Yoga and currently is enjoying delving into the meditative inquiry of Yoga Nidra a wonderfully relevant application of an ancient meditation As she continued her studies Lisa sensed that Yoga could be applied to everything even business With her own small business Being Well Yoga she brings yoga and mindfulness programs on-site to companies to help employees learn how to live healthier more balanced lives She loves bringing Yoga everywhere-- studios conferences schools senior centers parks and private homes and now streams virtual classes as well She gets great fulfillment from taking her teaching to international retreats and watching the magic of the practice enhance the lives of her participants  She currently teaches via Zoom and at YogaSource and Bishops Lodge in Santa Fe  Her upcoming retreats include Guatemala Peru and Kenya Lisas approach is balanced and she likes to bring mindfulness humor challenge and deep relaxation into all her practices She considers herself a “practical yogini” focused on how students can take Yoga off the mat and into their lives Lisa is especially interested in helping students find a yoga practice that really works for them and she believes that yoga can provide more ease and comfort to all Lisa loves helping people explore how to incorporate mindful habits and practices into their daily lives in a fun and sustainable way Her favorite thing is hearing about the positive changes her participants make for themselves  Lisa writes a monthly blog and is also the author of a book A Year of Mindful Wellness in which she shares accessible practices and habits to weave mindfulness into your daily life This is a product of the mindfulness education she does for companies to help employees work well and BE well Lisa MBA RYT- E-RYT- incorporates many traditions into her practices She has certifications in Hatha Hatha Flow Kundalini and I-rest Yoga Nidra She has had the opportunity to study with Donna Farhi Sean Corne Sarah Powers Anodea Judith Beth Shaw Amy Weintraub Gary Kraftsow and Richard Miller She recently completed her iRest certification so that she can help people more deeply tune in to their true nature and find peace calm and relaxation All of her wonderful teachers have shared wisdom that informs her teaching and she is grateful to them all Lisa recently moved from Austin Texas to Santa Fe New Mexico and enjoying her new surroundings!!  For more information about Lisa please visit her website.
