About
I still remember my first yoga class over 30 years ago in a small studio in the United States.
After practicing Yoga for several years thereafter and working in the hotel business, I decided to leave the corporate world and begin a whole new journey. I spent my summers training in Ashtanga Yoga with David Swenson and began teaching in 1999 after my second child was born. Since then, I have been fortunate to take my practice with me globally and train with tremendous teachers including Michelle Dalbec, Jonny Kest, Sarah Powers, Larissa Carlson, Scott Blossom, Donna Farhi and Max Stromm. In 2008, I began intensive study in Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga. I graduated from Kripalu Training center with a certificate in the study of Ayurveda and Yoga and later returned to Kripalu for my 500 Hour Ayurvedic Yoga Training. My world became more global in 2009 when my family and I moved to Beijing, China. Teaching yoga took on a whole new meaning as I attempted to teach in both Chinese and English! During this period, I studied with the California College of Ayurveda where I completed both Ayurvedic Health Counselor Degree and Clinical Ayurvedic Theory Program. Now I live in Johannesburg, South Africa where I continue to cultivate my practice as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Yoga Teacher. I believe I have come full circle! My former work in the hotel industry gave me the opportunity to design conventions and parties that left people feeling nourished and fulfilled from the inside out. Now, I have the great honor and pleasure to create Lifestyle Regimens, Ayurveda Yoga Workshops and Yoga Classes that also leave students feeling refreshed, invigorated and inspired from the inside out.
