About

"Yoga is not for the flexible; it is for the willing".

- unknown My practice started in 2009 while living in Italy via the U.S. Army. As adventurous as living abroad can be, it has its downfalls so my therapist recommended yoga and/or a mindfulness-based practice. As a kid I had always felt clumsy and uncoordinated but my need to calm my mind outweighed my fear(s) so I bought a cheap mat and went to class. It didn't take long to feel the benefits; I felt balanced, aligned, steady...grounded. I kept showing up for myself on my mat through multiple moves after that trying various teachers, styles, and In an effort to inspire the willing I attended Hot Asana Yoga University in 2015 and under the great tutelage of Virginia Gallagher and Lisa Rischitelli earned my 200-hour teacher training certificate. Since then I have taught over 2,500 hours of classes and privates, co-lead two 200-hour trainings, managed a yoga studio for 5 years, and completed my 300-hour training with Siddhi Yoga. I have completed various trainings and courses with Jason Crandell Yoga Method and Yoga Medicine, and taken workshops with Rolf Gates, Dice Ida-Klein, Bryan Kest, and Kathryn Budig. In my classes I encourage and challenge all levels through creative sequencing and safe alignment. Ultimately, my desire as a yoga teacher is for every student to walk off their mat grateful for their abilities and aware of their power. We are here to evolve.
