Hello! I was introduced to yoga in high school as a way to ease the chatter in my mind and to quiet the itty-bitty "I am not good enough" committee that many teens and adults battle I have taken a variety of classes including Yin Restorative Kundalini Bhakti Ashtanga Bikram Hatha and Vinyasa As I got older and of course "wiser" I continued to practice yoga for stress relief spiritual connection and social interaction In addition as a surviver of trauma and mental health challenges yoga has provided me with coping strategies to live my best life  As a School Counselor I have used yoga and mindfulness as a way to connect with students staff and family I was blessed with the opportunity to become a hour registered yoga instructor through an amazing program called Breathe For Change Breathe For Change trains educators throughout the country to become yoga teachers and wellness coaches Through this process my love for yoga flourished and I began to embrace music mantra chanting and yogic philosophy as an expansion of my practice I feel blessed to share this practice with those who attend my yoga classes and counseling sessions I encourage people of all abilities body types and ages to participate through modifications and personal assists I truly believe that yoga is for every-body! I also encourage laughter fun and reflection through a variety of postures and music playlists My classes are taught in Vinyasa style and range in pace slow medium and power flows In addition I am trained in trauma informed yoga practices in order to create a safe space for all Life is hard enough yoga is break from the noise  To bridge my two passions I am currently working on my certification to become a Yoga/Holistic Counselor and a supervised internship to gain my license in Professional Counseling I look forward to helping adolescents and adults overcome personal challenges and tap into their own resiliency in order to live healthy and peaceful lives.
