Lori Dougherty has completed 2 RYT500 certifications, is a Yoga Medicine (c) Therapeutic Specialist and has E-RYT200 status.
Her teaching style is alignment based Hatha yoga. Her other certifications through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) are Certified Personal Trainer and Specialist in Fitness Nutrition. Lori has also studied Transcendental Meditation and has a BS in Education from University of Missouri. She has training in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Advanced Pranayama, Ayurveda, Mindfulness in Cancer Care, Yoga for Arthritis, and Iyengar influenced training. Lori has an additional 200 hour certification from YogaWorks and their renowned method of Yoga and is currently enrolled in Yoga Medicine's 1000 hour program continuing her in depth study of Anatomy and Therapeutics. Lori considers Yoga to be a life-long journey and that even though you teach, you are ever the student. She sees yoga as a way of life, beyond the mat, and believes it is therapeutic for body, mind and soul. She considers yoga philosophy to be life changing.
