Louanne Cho E-RYT YACEP AWC I believe when one learns to apply the universal yoga principle of aligning the body mind and spirit one creates their own well-being After practicing yoga for several years I became a Kali Ray certified instructor in September of But that was only the beginning of my journey as I wanted to learn about other disciplines in holistic health So I enrolled in the Kerala Ayurveda Academy and became an Ayurveda Wellness counselor which encompasses a focus on preventive health care and the recommended diet and lifestyle for each individual A year after completing the course I signed up for Yoga Nidra which is also known as “yoga sleep” or state of deep conscious sleep This inspired me to write meditation scripts and incorporate guided meditation in my classes I also started a private studio the Eleven Eleven Wellness Centre where I hold individual and group classes designed specifically for my clients needs Along the way I have also introduced yoga to professional sports figures including NFL players who now include yoga to complement their regular exercise regimen In Melissa Smith SLCSW and I started the Yoga for Cancer Survivor program at Ochsner hospital The success of the class has lead to three more classed added to the schedule which has been going strong to this day Soon after starting the Yoga for Cancer Survivor Program Bridget Bagert MD the section head of Neurology at Ochsner ask if I could put a yoga program together for people with Multiple Sclerosis This program is also very successful and more classes have been added to the schedule My students always inspire me with their strength and determination to learn and grow I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to share the gift of yoga with so many people throughout the years I believe with each breath you take you create your reality so stay present in each moment of your life.
