My practice began in 2011 attending outdoor yoga classes with Yoga on the Bluff in Long Beach, CA. This amazing location and group of teachers was the place I learned how to find my center clear the clutter and chat in my head, I would leave class feeling like I was meshed. A feeling that became a saving grace in my life giving me back self esteem I never realized I let go.. My Yoga practice revealed wounds I created over time, and the ones I held on to from growing up full of self doubt. Over my years practicing yoga and watching my children play sports, I began to witness so many injuries among many of my son's teammates in youth sports. After 3 years of saying I wanted to teach yoga, I finally signed up and completed my certification. My RYT training began live in studio, within 2 weeks before the pandemic arrived. My newly found brothers and sisters and I met online the next 4 months. There was growth on so many levels. My journey unveiled possibilities of a practice and connection to others each day living in through zoom. I was convinced, anything was possible. So it was, now, I felt ready to serve others and teach how a practice to connect the mind, breath and soul could be cultivated within youth sports. For 30 years in my first profession, I've educated about wellness of mind, body and the oral systemic connection as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Now I'm guiding deeper levels of connection to others: connecting minds and spirit and encourage others to be in their own process. Purity in being you - right where you are. During these many often awkward years, is the fact what we all need in life is to be accepted. In this day and age I will serve others, creating space for all in this heavy world. A world where all deserve and need peace, acceptance and unconditional love. Namaste
