Madeline incorporates elements from many styles of yoga and movement modalities into her yoga teaching Major yoga styles & movement influences include: vinyasa ashtanga yin gentle Laban movement functional movement and self-myofascial release   At the Yoga Center of Columbia Madeline teaches Yoga - for the Core Yoga ; both of which can be described as slow hatha flow as well as Myofascial Release & Reset a gentle beginner-friendly class which integrates self-myofascial release with functional movement gentle yoga yin yoga and breath work  All of Madelines classes offered through the YCC are hybrid format Workshops integrating voice movement and yoga as well as : yoga sessions are held online and in person through Windsong Voice and Yoga also in Columbia Maryland Beyond the Yoga Center of Columbia Madeline is an advocate for the integration of self-myofascial release and yoga / movement; sharing this work as a national and international conference presenter for The American Guild of Organists in and The International Congress of Voice Teachers Her overall intention in her teaching is to help fellow practitioners to calm their nervous system reduce excess physical tension deepen breath awareness build strength and foster confidence freedom and joy from the inside out Madeline has been a Registered Yoga Teacher since and is also a trained singer and voice teacher! She is fascinated by the many parallels between the study and disciplines of yoga and singing and feels blessed to practice and teach in both worlds In her spare time Madeline enjoys spending time outdoors; running walking and hiking with her husband Brian and their Siberian husky; Wally!.
