Mimi is a multidisciplinary educator who has experienced profound healing of body & spirit through yoga and seeks to share those healing possibilities with others.
She first pursued yoga teacher training while working as a kindergarten teacher, through Breathe For Change’s 200-hour Yoga, SEL & Wellness program for children and school communities. She brought this work to the classroom for several years before joining Harlem Yoga Studio’s 200-hour training and expanding her teaching practice to adults and studio classes. Drawing on experience as a teacher, artist, queer woman, trauma-sensitive human, and lifelong learner, Mimi strives to create vinyasa flows and a class community that welcome and affirm all yoga practitioners, and that encourage reflection, compassion, and responsiveness toward self at every stage of one’s yoga journey.
