Marcie (E-RYT 500) has been teaching yoga for almost ten years and received her yoga certification, both 300 and 500 hour, from Lotus Yoga in Montclair, NJ.
She teaches a variety of classes from vinyasa to restorative to kid's, elderly, chair, and veterans in wheelchairs. Marcie became a disciple of Sri Reverend Jaganath Carrera, her Spiritual Teacher and Guru, in 2011. Her spiritual name is Amba which is defined as, "not only mother, but as Mother of the Universe, the energy, love, and attention we associate with mother." She continues to deepen her spiritual practice through studying spiritual texts with her Guruji. She completed the Raja Yoga Teacher Training, studying the Yoga Sutras, in 2012. She also has been accepted into a three year Acharya (spiritual teacher) Program through the Yoga Life Society (www.yogalifesociety.com), under the guidance of Guruji. She deepens her physical practice by study with Master Teacher, Genny Kapuler, and Lisa Rotell, also a Senior Teacher. Yoga is a process--Marcie is forever grateful to her Guru, her Teachers, her co-founders, and her family who has helped support and guide her on this amazing journey.
