Marcy Donovan

Her yoga journey started when stepped into her first hot yoga class in March 2002. The sole motivation of losing the last 10 lbs of baby weight from having her third child drove her there. Within the first two months of practice, the weight was gone and the added strength, health and energy were addicting. However, the motivation to practice had completely shifted. The mental and emotional benefits quickly outweighed the physical. The stress relief, clarity of mind, and breath work are what has kept her practicing over the years. Marcy’s background is in teaching Elementary School. She completed her Hot Yoga Teacher Training in 2005 at Hot Yoga Vail Valley, RYS. She finds working with people with injuries especially rewarding as well as helping people blend the mental/emotional aspects of yoga with this very physical and rehabilitating workout. Marcy’s classes come with compassion and humor as well as a lot of straight talk around alignment and strength. She cares deeply about sharing the benefits of Hot Yoga with the practitioners in her classes and that comes across as soon as they walk through the door. She is available for private sessions both online and in person.
