Moving through and beyond loss of a child at any age, is one of the most difficult experiences a parent has to endure.
It’s not consistent with the natural order of life. This was something I had to endure several years ago with the loss of the youngest of my three sons. The time period immediately following was an emotional blur. I felt extreme sadness and so much grief existed in my body it physically hurt in multiple areas. I felt the most pain in my heart, like it had been torn apart. By practicing yoga and meditation every day, I slowly transformed my life. I started to heal physically, mentally and emotionally. I started to open by heart and mind allowing myself to find a connection with my inner self and with God. With a daily practice of yoga and meditation, I learned to find inner peace, joy and love in my life. During this healing process, I found the calling to help others to find this healing connection of mind, body and spirit by becoming a certified 200-RYT Yoga Teacher. I blend active and non-active yoga poses into a healing flow to help those who attend my online classes to have a safe environment to release the pain from grief. My classes focus and breathing and letting go within each pose. I guide my students to surrender to the emotions they feel in the moment. At the end of each class during Savasana, there is a 10 minute guided healing meditation to end the practice.
