About

Marie-Claude Langlois is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of yoga teacher trainings with Registered Yoga Schools (RYS).

She is an Integrative Yoga teacher and a Yin Yoga teacher. She is also Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher Certified by the University of California Greater Good Science Center. Marie-Claude embraced sharing the practice of Integrative Yoga in 2015 right after she registered as RYT® 200 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since, the joy of sharing the practice with others has been a great teaching in itself. This ongoing learning process has been supplemented with the participation in several continuing education workshops, online courses and the reading of many books to foster her understanding of mindfulness, meditation, anatomy, breathing, philosophy and nutrition. Her desire to keep deepening her knowledge and yoga practice led her to complete an additional 300-hour Teacher Training course in Integrative Yoga in 2018, as well as to participate in 150 hours Yin Yoga Teacher Training courses. More recently, she completed a two-year professional training program for teaching awareness and compassion-based practices with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. It’s after practicing yoga for many years, on and off, that her passion for yoga truly emerged as she discovered the meaning of: “Meditation in Movement” through her participation in several 21-day courses of Integrative Yoga with Shilpa Ghatalia. For once, the practice of yoga moved from a physical activity to a new understanding of the essence of Yoga as a whole. In addition to being truly transformed physically, emotionally and spiritually by her practice of Integrative Yoga, she has also been touched by the teachings of the great Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh, the many masters and pioneers of the western Mindfulness movement and the Taoism and Advaita Vedanta Non-Dualism philosophies of the East. She believes that the practice of yoga is for and can benefit everyone, regardless of shape, size, age and current physical and mental conditions. She focuses on breath awareness and on the fundamental of Integrative Yoga, which is a practice of meditation in movement, with the aim of lightness of body and stillness of mind. The practice includes: Kriyas, Pranayama, Qi Gong, Mindfulness, a Spine centered Yoga practice influenced by Vanda Scaravelli, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and is infused with Non-Dualism philosophies. Her recent exploration of Mindfulness Meditation outside the field of Yoga and her deep interest for the emerging field of neuroscience, that is now demonstrating what Yogic Sages and Buddhist psychology have been teaching for centuries, is adding to her passion for sharing the practice.
