Marilyn Laughlin is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
My RYT-200 was earned through St. Petersburg Yoga, and I attended a Trauma-Informed Yoga Certificate through Street Yoga of Portland, Oregon, and a Trauma-Informed Yoga seminar through the Mental Health Council of Arkansas. I recently completed an RYT-300 Teacher Training through Big Rock Yoga in Little Rock, Arkansas. The first teaching experience I had was in a domestic violence shelter in St. Petersburg, Florida. While at CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) I taught adult survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and substance abuse. It was an honor to share and introduce the transforming nature of yoga to people working to reclaim their lives and reconnect their bodies, minds, and spirits. I am currently working as a Mental Health Professional (LCSW) at Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness (OBHAW) where I am teach a Trauma-Informed Yoga class for adult survivors of trauma and a beginning Yoga Class for available to all clients at OBHAW.
