Marna Hanneman is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).Marna began to practice Hatha yoga in earnest over 20+ years ago when she came back to class instruction at Bellevue College (BC).
In 1999 she committed to enter into the learning journey that would lead her to teaching yoga. She taughtther own classes at BC in 2001 - 2022 and now is teaching through her own creation with on line classes over Zoom. Marna's gentle yoga curriculum at BC become well known as a resource for compromised populations and yoga. She has taught people of size, anorexic people, people with life-threatening illnesses and people with physical limitations such as arthritis, joint replacements, multiple scoliosis and Parkinson’s. She also taught through Mercer Island Community Center and Yoga at Large, where she can come to her students wherever they are. Marna left Bellevue College in June 2022 to begin teaching through EDU and currently is teaching on line over Zoom. Marna has taught classes of Yogalates on the Ball for several years and her students love the combination of Yoga and Pilates. In addition she also has designed a Meditation Class for those going through Cancer protocols and other life threatening illnesses. As a result of having practiced and studied many kinds of yoga over time, Marna has come to believe that it is a journey of many paths.
