About
Marsha Shackelford is a Yoga Teacher (E-RYT), Pranayama Breathwork & Meditation Guide, Reiki Energy Healer & Thai Yoga Bodyworker who resides in Atlanta, GA with her 2 energetic sons, Christian (12) & Benjamin (10).
As a yoga practitioner and educator, Marsha desires to dissolve the illusion that yoga is only for the privileged and elite. She believes yoga is for everybody and every body and created Rawr Yoga to help make the healing arts accessible and relatable to all people, with an emphasis on BIPOC. Yoga for Marsha is more than just a physical workout. It is a way of life. She utilizes Yin Yoga and other Yin (feminine) healing modalities to help her clients release tension in their mind and body in order to connect with their authentic power and find their own unique flow. ‘If you surrendered to the air, you could ride it.’ This Toni Morrison quote is the cornerstone of Marsha’s philosophy as a teacher and healing guide. She teaches clients how to control and ‘ride their breath’ because with calm breath comes a calm mind.
