About
I began practicing Astanga Yoga regularly 17 years ago.
My first teacher training was with David Swenson and I had the pleasure of teaching in a small studio following that training. Years later, I participated in seminars with Doug Keller and Beryl Binder Birch, among other "lesser known" yogis. In 2013, I finally made the move to complete a 200 hour program to obtain my RYT-200. I continue to teach locally, and in a small community in Costa Rica during winter months of travel. My personal practice , as well as my teaching style, has evolved into a vinyassa flow style with a big emphasis on form and function, in order to maintain a vital practice through later stages of life. I encourage students to "take their yoga off the mat" when they leave the studio.
