Mary Abney

I joined the Army and was stationed at Ft. Sam, Texas and then moved to Bad Kreuznach, Germany and served with HQ 8th Infantry Div. Public Affairs. From there we transferred to Ft. Campbell and Clarksville in 1988 and never left. I'm married to David, who has always supported me in all endeavors of my life. We have four children; William, Kevin, Samantha, and Chelsea, and three grandchildren; Tyler, Abby, and Brooklyn. My boys are currently serving in the military. Samantha is a college graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University and Chelsea is a graduate of O'More College of Design. My family always comes first! I retired from S&K Sales as a vendor at the Ft. Campbell Exchange after nearly 26 years. I have served the Clarksville community with the Boy & Girl Scouts for 16 years. Also, I worked with two local churches with their youth groups. I studied Yoga with Hot Yoga Plus and attained my 200 RYT certification in Baptiste Power Flow, Hot 26 CYT with Radiant Yoga, Prenatal Yoga with Om Grown Mama, and I obtained my 500 RYT through Sanctuary Yoga. I am a Trapeze Yoga teacher through YogaBody. Also, I have been certified in Yin Yoga by Sanctuary Yoga and Restorative Yoga with BlossOMings Yoga. I started my yoga journey early in 2012 after my husband deployed to Kuwait. I have always been a fitness junkie and wanted to take it to the next level. I am extremely happy that yoga is the platform that allows me to do this. Due to Covid 19 Lotus Flower Yoga & Fitness is now an online Studio. My favorite bible verse is: "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." My mission statement is: To challenge others to step out in faith through yoga. Your never to Old!
