About
My path to yoga began many years ago, but my immersion in yoga deepened in January 2011 when a local yoga studio opened its doors, and opened me to enhanced health of body, mind, and spirit.I’ve always been interested in Eastern philosophies, such as Buddhism and Taoism, and also have read the ancient texts and significant writings of yogic philosophy, including the Yoga Sutras.
The practice of yoga has been a continuation of my love of learning. I continued my yoga immersion through teacher training and graduated in 2013 with my RYT 200 certification.I have taught seated/gentle yoga classes, beginning Hatha yoga, Yin yoga, and Restorative yoga, and have taught sessions for yoga teacher training.I developed and taught a Yoga Philosophy humanities class at my college, where I'm a full-time professor. Additionally, I teach a yoga class at my college as part of our Wellness Program.I do presentations on yoga, yogic philosophy, mindfulness, breath practices, and Sanskrit for students and adult learners.Namaste.
