Peyton (RYT-200) leads mindful movement through gentle yoga sequencing.
She invites you to take down the mask and embrace yourself with compassion, leaving all judgment at the door. She will help you connect to yourself through conscious awareness of the senses, visualization exercises, attention to the breath, and simply noticing what thoughts, feelings and sensations arise during your practice. The space she holds for you is exactly that: your practice. Peyton is going to go at your pace so be assured that you can show up exactly as you are. Her sessions offer an accommodating and safe place to feel your feelings and explore agency by choosing the options that feel best for you. Peyton is a certified Yoga of 12 Step Recovery Leader, bringing the first and only Y12SR to Washington, DC. She’s completing her Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga training as well as her Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher training. Through her journey to sobriety and continual self-healing from past traumas, she discovered the power of somatic movement. Because of the significant, positive effects she experienced through yoga, she found that it is her calling to help others have more options in their healing journey. Peyton has a passion for inclusivity and empowerment with a goal to help yoga become more accessible to everyone. Peyton offers private sessions as well as intimate, group classes in the client’s choice of space. She leads trauma sensitive yoga, prenatal and postnatal yoga, Yoga of 12 Step Recovery as well as a gentle vinyasa flow.
