About
Mary began practicing yoga seriously after walking into a power vinyasa yoga class in 2001 and falling in love with the flow.
Her training has been in classical forms of hatha yoga and ayurvedic yoga, and she works to bring together the vigorous passion and energy of vinyasa with traditional stories and teachings going back to yoga's roots. She has completed more than 500 hours of training: in classical hatha yoga and meditation at Raja Yoga, in Inner Fire Yoga at Yoga on Main, and in Yin Yoga with Corina Benner at Wake Up Yoga. True teaching for Mary is sharing the joy and benefits of yoga in a plain, accessible style designed to meet the student wherever he or she is while honoring the deep energetic potentialities of the practice. She lives in Portland, OR, and teaches classes in vinyasa, hatha, yin yoga, yoga nidra, and meditaion.
