Mary Ma’s background in wellness, community enrichment and holistic health has grounded her in compassion and connection.
Mary completed her 200-hour teacher training with Yoga Tree San Francisco, 300-hour teacher training with High Vibe Yoga in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, and 50-hour Yin Yoga training with Santosha Yoga Institute in Sydney, Australia. She holds a 500 RYT license with Yoga Alliance and is life-long learner committed to finding new ways to promote healing in her community. Mary’s advanced training specialized in the Yogic Perspective on Sex, Death and Wealth, and emphasized the importance of surrender (Ishvara Pranidhana). This learned perspective allows her to create sequences built for students to cultivate intimate knowledge of their physical and emotional bodies. By understanding how their bodies react, and what influences their behaviors, students can begin to know the areas in their lives where there is potential for liberation. “ My goal is to motivate students to get more curious about their bodies, minds, and spirits.
