From the first class her mother took her to at the age of Maya was fascinated by yoga In after years of personal practice she dedicated herself to the study of Hatha and Raja yoga and completed her -hr teacher training program in Maya has been teaching continuously for the past years and has studied Vinyasa Flow Anusara and Restorative yoga and meditation with teachers such as Max Strom and Skeeter Tichnor and countless others in Los Angeles San Francisco and Honolulu She completed both a -Hour Immersion in Hatha Yoga and Philosophy with Skeeter Tichnor and a Yoga Ed Childrens yoga teacher training in Maya is proud to have completed a full hr training with Skeeters new RYS Open to Life Yoga in July In October Maya became the proud new owner/director of Yoga Hawaii studio in Honolulu a local yoga institution since Maya’s goal in teaching every class is to create a safe space for self-exploration and development of body mind and soul.
