I believe yoga is about being in a deep relationship with your body as it is in this moment As an elementary school teacher activist and mother of three I know firsthand the impacts that burnout and exhaustion have on all areas of your life In my asana classes I use movement sound and breathwork to create a space for rest rejuvenation and healing especially for those who spend their days caring for others   Yoga has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember Some of my earliest memories are practicing shoulder stands with my mom while watching yoga classes on PBS I have practiced yoga under trees in the Florida sun on the worn wooden floors of church halls on the grassy terraces of Machu Picchu and working through my feelings alone in my bedroom late at night Yoga has been an essential part of my healing journey helping me find space to unpack and process the whirlwind of change and transition in every phase of my life from student to teacher from parenting queer teens to caretaking elderly family members  I honor the roots of the ancient practice of yoga and all my teachers and their teachers I am a proud graduate of Franklin Street Yoga hr Yoga Teacher Training I am a dedicated student of yoga meditation and social justice under Reggie Hubbard of Active Peace Yoga.
