As the Fine Arts Office Manager at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, FL, and having earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from Florida State University, Melissa attributes the start of her yogic journey to her lifelong love of movement.
Melissa is a Certified Integrative Hypnotherapist. She earned her 200RYT and 500 RYT from the Yoga Center of Deerfield Beach, Florida. She received her Pranakriya Prenatal YTT certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in M.A. as well as certified to teach Creative Relaxation for Children with Autism and Special Needs and Yin Yoga. She is a Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra Guide and a Let Your Yoga Dance® teaching assistant. Melissa is also a Reiki Master Teacher and a strong believer in the role of energy work. As a mother of two, she is a firm believer that it is important for expectant mothers to know the importance of community, physical comfort and childbirth education and advocacy. Practicing a healthy lifestyle on and off the mat and teaching with clear direction and attention to alignment and detail to ensure safety is important to Melissa's philosophy on Yoga. Her quality of practice and passion for yoga has only deepened since being able to teach and share with so many people. When not on the mat you may find her at the beach indulging her love of the ocean or spending time with her two children, Alex and Gigi.
