Mel began practicing Yoga as a college student looking for stress relief and a good workout.
Over the years she fell in love with the connection between breath and movement and the positive effects yoga had on both her mental health and physical body. Her practice became a moving meditation, both figuratively and literally, as she carried her practice with her as she lived, worked, and played around the globe. In 2024, Mel traveled to Dharamshala, India, to pursue her passion professionally and deepen her knowledge of yoga. Under the guidance of Dr. Keshava and other mentors at Sarvaguna Yoga, she earned her RYT-200 while exploring Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Pranayama, and Mantras. Mel’s classes are a reflection of her zest for life, her creativity, and the mental and physical challenges of yoga, fostering growth while honoring the individual path of each person both on (and off) the mat.
