About
tân’si, hello & tawow, welcome!I’m Dr.
Melissa Jay (she/her), a nehiyaw (Cree) member of the Métis Nation of Alberta, psychologist, certified yoga therapist, and creator of the Trauma-Informed Yoga Psychology School. My work is rooted in decolonized and relational approaches to healing that honour community care and collective liberation. As a facilitator, it is such a gift to learn with and from eachother. My intention is to invite learners into trauma-informed, anti-oppressive spaces where yoga becomes a practice of connection... within ourselves, each other, all beings, and the land. My YACEP offerings integrate psychology, embodiment, and social justice, supporting teachers, helpers, and organizations in grounding care through awareness and compassion. It’s a joy to walk alongside learners committed to growth and unlearning. I look forward to connecting, when the time is right! With goodness,Melissa____________Dr. Melissa Jay | she/herRegistered Psychologistwww.canmorecounselling.com/yogaschool
